Have you ever wondered what it would be like to really LIVE in color? What would it be like to wear one color every day for a week, a month or even a year?

Performance artist, Darlinda Just Darlinda is fresh off her second foray into a Year in Rainbow. 2007-2008 and 2020-2021 Darlinda made her life as an interactive art work called Year in Rainbow. She created a rainbow for her world by wearing one color every other month and rainbow on the alternate months in a 6 month format according to the order of colors on a rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.

In 2007-2008 every month she would create a live show that incorporated the color of the month. In 2020-2021 due to the pandemic she created an experimental video for every month in addition to documenting her life on a daily blog.

Darlinda brings you Year in Rainbow Live, the BEST of Year in Rainbow, incorporating previous works from One Woman Rainbow (Joe’s Pub 2019), collaborators from past Year in Rainbows and NEW and surprise guests!

Join us for a colorful jaunt, a year concentrated into one night for YEAR in RAINBOW LIVE!

A BROKEN FOOT won't stop THIS RAINBOW!

You heard that RIGHT!! I BROKE MY LEFT FOOT! First bone break of my life (fractured the 5th metatarsal), fortunately I won't need surgery and they gave me a boot, so I can walk!

I wallowed for a couple days thinking, "I can't do my rainbow show, it's in TWO WEEKS!"

Then the superstar artist/ producer couple KC Crow Maddux and MeghanDoherty came over with FLOWERS and a PEP TALK and reminded me that John Cameron Mitchell did Hedwig and The Angry Inch IN A BOOT on BROADWAY, so I can do Year in Rainbow LIVE in a boot, OFF BROADWAY! SO here we are! TWO WEEKS AWAY and I've made a few adjustments to the show to make things a little easier on my healing body, adding Nicholas Gorham to our INCREDIBLE CAST : Ashton Muñiz, Diana Oh, Nyx Nocturne, Vic Sin, and Zoe Ziegfeld!

2 years into this panini, and I don't know about you, but I'm READY for something different! I'm ready to live in JOY! I'm ready to CELEBRATE what we DO have, because we've lost so many loved ones, and continue to, so what good is living this life if we can't do it with JOY AND LOVE?

You haven't heard from me in a while! Here's what's been going in in a nutshell:

Minnie and I did the 15th annual and LAST Menorah Horah, I got engaged (woohoo! Love is in the AIR!), Omicron hit, I went into isolation for most of January, February I packed and March 1st moved in with my Fiancé!
