The Practice Beneath the Fabric
6:30pm - 8:30pm at the Materials for the Arts warehouse
Join Materials for the Arts for its latest Third Thursday programming featuring… A burlesque workshop led by Darlinda Just Darlinda! At “Behind Burlesque: The Practice Beneath the Fabric,” attendees can expect a demonstration of burlesque basics using MFTA fabric that will then be practiced by Third Thursday participants. We encourage those who attend to arrive in comfortable attire that allows for free movement and dancing. This event will take place Thursday, September 19, from 6:30 — 8:30pm at the Materials for the Arts warehouse.

Greetings friends! As Summer winds down I am reminded of moving to NYC 20 years and 11 months ago! It was my first official Fall, with leaves falling and confusing hot days! Then TWENTY SEASONS of making art, creating community and gathering STORIES to tell you!
Here's how it will go, 7pm doors, 7:30pm show and then 8:30pm will be a dance/ GOING AWAY PARTY! Yes, you heard that RIGHT! I'm going on a 3 month European Tour November, December and January! So come see a show, say goodbye, and dance to a soon to be announced superstar DJ!!
